Cleveland (OH) Chapter


Cleveland (OH) alumna member and former National President Margot James Copeland was recently named as Governance Committee Chair on the Board of Directors for AARP.  Margot serves on the board of Banner Bank and on its Compensation and Human Resources Committee and Credit Risk Committee. She serves on the board of trustees for the Cleveland Clinic and as Chair of Community Relations. She is on the board of the Cleveland Foundation, chair of its Governance Committee and member of its Investment Committee. She is on the board of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and co-chair of its Education Committee. She serves on the board of the Cleveland-Cuyahoga County Port Authority. For over nine years at Kent State University, she served as Board Secretary, Chair of Nominating and Governance, and Chair of Academic Excellence and Student Success. She retired as Chair and CEO of the Key Bank Foundation. Previously she was the Chief Diversity Officer of Key Bank, garnering many national and regional awards.


Cleveland (OH) member Renee Richard was named President and CEO of Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C) Corporate College. This division offers professional training and development along with corporate meeting and conference space. She has been the division’s interim president since September 2022, in addition to her role as vice president and general counsel for the College. 

Renee will also act as senior advisor and counsel the Tri-C President, and the Cuyahoga Community College Board of Trustees and act as interim general counsel until a successor is found.
