The Links, Incorporated is an international, not-for-profit corporation established in 1946. The membership consists of more than 17,000 professional women of African descent in 299 chapters in 41 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, and the United Kingdom. It is one of the nation's oldest and largest volunteer service organizations of extraordinary women committed to enriching, sustaining and ensuring the culture and economic survival of African Americans and other persons of African ancestry. Members of The Links, Incorporated contribute more than 1 million documented hours of community service annually — strengthening their communities and enhancing the nation. We are delighted that you’ve taken the time to learn more about our chapter and the impactful work of this distinguished organization. Founded in 1946 by visionary leaders Sarah Strickland Scott and Margaret Rosell Hawkins, The Links, Incorporated is one of the nation’s oldest and most respected volunteer service organization of professional women committed to enriching, sustaining, and ensuring the culture and economic survival of African Americans and other persons of African ancestry. For more than 75 years, the Cleveland (OH) Chapter has been a steadfast presence in the Greater Cleveland community, delivering transformative programming and meaningful community service. We are especially proud to be the home chapter of the 15th National President, Margot James Copeland—an esteemed leader whose legacy continues to inspire our pursuit of excellence, leadership, and civic engagement. Our membership is composed of accomplished, service-minded women from diverse professions, united by a shared commitment to friendship and service. As we look ahead, we remain devoted to uplifting our communities, supporting youth and families, and advocating for equity through innovative programs, mentorship, and collaborative partnerships.
