The Links, Incorporated

The Links, Incorporated is an international, not-for-profit corporation established in 1946. The membership consists of more than 17,000 professional women of African descent in 299 chapters in 41 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, and the United Kingdom. It is one of the nation's oldest and largest volunteer service organizations of extraordinary women committed to enriching, sustaining and ensuring the culture and economic survival of African Americans and other persons of African ancestry. Members of The Links, Incorporated contribute more than 1 million documented hours of community service annually — strengthening their communities and enhancing the nation. Chapter President's Message

Welcome to the Cleveland (OH) Chapter website! We are so glad that you are here and we invite you to browse through our pages to learn more about this amazing organization that was established in 1946 by Sarah Strickland Scott and Margaret Rosell Hawkins. Today, Links members consistently contribute more than 1 million hours of documented community service annually to enhance our nation.

For 75 years, our chapter has served the Greater Cleveland area. We are also extremely proud to be the home of the 15th National President Margot James Copeland. This is a group of dynamic women from various different backgrounds but we are all “Linked in Friendship, Connected in Service.” We will continue to work, mentor, teach, and make an impact in all that we do. Our members look forward to contributing much more for the betterment of others in the years ahead.
